A 78-year-old woman showed signs of left-right disorientation, finger agnosia, acalculia, and agraphia. Brain MRI revealed ischemic lesion of left frontal operculum. The lesion in the left angular gyrus causes Gerstmann’s syndrome, however, there are reports suggesting that lesions in some other areas of brain are responsible for Gerstmann’s syndrome. We describe a Gerstmann’s syndrome derived from a lesion in the left frontal operculum, which may have different mechanisms from the ones caused by lesion in left angular gyrus. |
